Terra Draft

An alien planet accessible via The Portal on R&D Level -2 of the Voss Campus.

An alien planet accessible via The Portal on R&D Level -2 of the Voss Campus. The portal was constructed using meteor fragments and connects to Terra for reasons no one at Voss Dynamics fully understands.

Environment

  • Sky: Overcast, with two suns of different sizes visible through the haze
  • Terrain: Blasted, cracked, dry desert landscape — a dead world
  • Atmosphere: Breathable but thin on oxygen; high nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The power suits compensate without difficulty.
  • Temperature: Hot

Known Features

  • Bug holes: Three-foot-diameter tunnels bored into the ground and hillsides, increasing in density heading north. Home to Terran Insectoid creatures.
  • Ruined City (Terra): A crumbling metropolis approximately 2-3 hours’ jog north of the portal, destroyed by conventional weapons roughly a century ago. Contains evidence of a three-limbed humanoid civilisation.
  • Drained meteorite fragments: At least two detected by suit sensors — one near the northern bug concentration, one near the central statue of the ruined city.

Known Inhabitants

  • Terran Insectoid: Giant, chitinous, cold-blooded creatures the size of small cars. Observed in underground nests and in a surface swarm of 200-300 individuals.

Exploration History

  • A previous recon team (including Hernandez) entered approximately one month before Session 02 without powered suits. They never returned. Evidence suggests they were killed by the insectoid creatures.
  • The party conducted a successful recon mission during Session 02, reaching the ruined city and returning safely within the six-hour turnaround.

Session 09 — Terra in Its Living Past

[!note] Reconciled (Session 09): canon (past preserved, future changed).

Via The Timeline Rewind, the party visited Terra’s deep past — and found it alive: two suns over lush green grass, trees, and a shimmering city on the horizon, nothing like the cracked dead world of Session 02. There they met The Terran Warrior, the three-armed champion who would otherwise have become the Hungry God. Forewarned by the party, he destroyed the Alpha Predator by flying it into the sun (The Sacrifice on Terra) — breaking the harvest cycle at its origin and, by implication, sparing this living Terra the fate the team had walked through a century later.
