First Terra Expedition
Participants
The party’s first recon mission through The Portal to the alien planet Terra, tasked by Voss with finding the lost previous expedition and recovering any meteor fragments.
Key Discoveries
- Terra is a blasted, dead world with two suns and a thin but breathable atmosphere
- Terran Insectoid creatures inhabit underground tunnel networks across the landscape
- A human femur found in a bug nest and Hernandez’s torn fatigues confirm the previous team’s likely fate
- The Ruined City (Terra) contains evidence of a three-limbed alien civilisation destroyed roughly a century ago
- Drained meteorite fragments are present on Terra, detected by suit sensors near the bug tunnels and the city centre statue
- A swarm of 200-300 insectoid creatures was observed digging methodically north of the ruined city
Outcome
The team returned safely within the six-hour turnaround. Suit footage, alien artefacts, and Hernandez’s fatigues were turned over at debrief. Voss recommended closing the portal and placing defensive armaments at the threshold.
