The Timeline Rewind

Date May 14, 2019 Location RD3 Facility
Outcome: Jens reverses time and chooses to return the party to before the Battle of Terra — see [[The Sacrifice on Terra]] — overwriting the timeline.

Participants

  • Jens Hartmann — bodiless; possesses [[Adrian Voss]] and spins the chakra
  • Adrian Voss — host of the time-reversing 'chakra'
  • The Dragon — occupied by the entity — Jens cannot re-enter
  • Brittany — unconscious — Jens cannot enter
  • Every active PC — carried backward through time

Overview

With the Alpha Predator now wearing Dragon and his own body still being rebuilt, a bodiless Jens found himself locked out of every host — until he slipped into Boss Voss and discovered a spinning “chakra” of raw, untapped power inside the commander. Not understanding what it was, he spun it counterclockwise. Time itself began to reverse.

What Happened

  • Repelled from the entity-occupied Dragon and unable to enter the unconscious Brittany, Jens possessed Boss Voss.
  • Inside Voss he found a spinning chakra of power. He spun it counterclockwise, and the world stopped, then began running backward — people moving in reverse, slowly, then faster, the whole timeline unwinding.
  • Jens was presented with a choice of return points: before Bad Britney was summoned, before the second meteor, before the first meteor, or before the Battle of Terra.
  • He chose the deepest: before the Battle of Terra — leading into The Sacrifice on Terra.

Why This Matters

  • Reveals that Adrian Voss carries a time-reversal power — a campaign-altering metaphysical asset of unknown origin, cost, and reusability.
  • Establishes a working (if catastrophic) mechanism for rewriting history in the setting; the choice of branch-points implies the rewrite targets a moment, not just a duration.
  • It is the hinge of the session and likely the chapter: everything after it occurs in a rewritten timeline, and the scope of what it changes is the campaign’s biggest open question.
