Thompson

Summary

Thompson is a member of Major Jenkins’ team who survived the encounter with the Fragment Bear during the Russia Second Meteor Event recovery operation — but only just. The Fragment Bear corroded his Voss Combat Suit down to a rusted, acid-eaten husk. Thompson came out physically alive but was barely holding it together psychologically after the incident.

Canon note: Play notes (NPC section) record Thompson as “found dead,” but the scene narrative describes him as alive and in shock. The scene narrative is treated as the primary source — Thompson is alive.

Description

Unknown beyond his role as a field operator. His Voss Combat Suit is confirmed destroyed — corroded to a rusted ruin by the Fragment Bear.

Background

Unknown. Thompson is a contractor operating under Voss Dynamics as part of Major Jenkins’ team. He is one of the two known survivors of the Fragment Bear encounter, though his mental state makes his continued operational capacity unclear.

Session 05 Update

His presence confirms he has recovered sufficiently from the Russia Fragment Bear encounter to return to duty, though whether he has a replacement Voss Combat Suit or is operating without one is unknown.

Session 06 Update

Thompson arrived with Jenkins’ crash-landing suit-team at Medieval Times during the insect attack.

Session 07 Update

Thompson joined the Vegas strike team, helping capture live bugs for insecticide testing. Afterward he descended with Jenkins into the destroyed The Queen’s Chamber to inspect the aftermath.
