Summary
Tan Jiang is a Chinese scientist — and apparently a powered individual — discovered via drone footage inside The Queen’s Chamber during the assault on the Vegas hive. He was restrained by organic, vein-like growths near a central pillar guarded by three massive insects. After the team destroyed the hive, his body was gone — no trace, no remains.
Ronnie Vint identified him from the footage using the suit’s Silhouette Software.

Chinese male scientist. Seen only in drone footage: bound by vein-like organic growths near the central pillar of the Hive Queen’s chamber. Believed to be a powered individual. No physical description beyond the footage; no body recovered.
Background
Why a Chinese scientist was inside the alien hive — captive, subject, or operative — is unknown. After the hive’s destruction his body vanished entirely. The team’s working theory is that he escaped via portal technology that Xander sold to the Chinese. That same portal tech would also explain the earlier appearance of Chinese submarines. Intel on Tan Jiang has been passed up the chain of command.
