R&D Level -1

A high-security subterranean laboratory beneath the Voss Campus, one level above the restricted R&D Level -2. It houses power suit storage and assembly stations, experimental technology benches, and the research staff who maintain and customise the team’s equipment.

The team first descended here in [Session 02 - Terra-ble First Impressions](…/chapters/Chapter 1 - The Hungry God/Sessions/session-02-terra-ble-first-impressions.html) for their suit fitting: four seven-foot Voss Combat Suits hung on the wall, one noticeably smaller than the rest. The level doubles as the workshop where operators design and request suit modifications — Guy’s Limpet Mines and forearm blade, Sammy’s invisibility surface and other upgrades — worked up with the on-site scientists. It was also where Guy later glimpsed the classified “Hungry God” folder left open on an adjacent bench.

Access is controlled but less tightly than R&D Level -2, which only Voss can authorise.
