Jenkins Music Device

Summary

A small device was provided to Major Jenkins by Yi Jiangku before Operation Living Bomb commenced. The device plays one of Jenkins’ personal favorite songs—a seemingly simple and even benign function. However, the real significance of this item lies in what its existence reveals about Voss Dynamics’ research priorities and methodologies.

The device is based on research conducted by Voss R&D into the effects of unexpected music on human performance and psychological state. The provision of this device implies that Voss Dynamics has been conducting psychological profiling and behavioral studies on the operatives, documenting personal preferences and potentially psychological vulnerabilities. This raises serious questions about the depth and invasiveness of Voss’s interest in the team members, and whether the research is aimed at performance enhancement, manipulation, or something else entirely.
